Music
(somewhat) Current bands:
49th Vibration | The 1969s | Damaged Faith

Bands of the past:
Dragon | Tolerance | Mercenary | Mark Allan & Sundaze

There were other bands and projects that I was involved with, but I'm only listing the ones that actually played gigs and the ones that I was truly a part of the band. There were other projects that never really got off the ground, or some projects that I was just filling in, or sitting in.

Tunes

The Other Door [words & music: Troy Thibodeaux]
This song was written as part of a songwriting game I played with a couple of my songwriting friends back in 2010. It didn't last long, but I wrote a few songs that I really like, so I say "success!". Keep in mind that part of the game is that you have only one week to write and record the song, so most are quickly recorded and somewhat unfinished. My band, 49th Vibration, plays a version of this song that is a little faster and more dynamic, which I like a lot better, but this is cool too I think.
Walking in my Winter [words & music: Troy Thibodeaux]
This song is also a result of the songwriting game. Like most of teh songs from the game, I feel this is unfinished, but I never went back and worked on it. I think it works "as is", but maybe I'll revisit it someday.
I Don't Remember [words & music: Troy Thibodeaux]
This song is also a result of the songwriting game. The line "I must have been plastered" always cracks me up. I figured I would go back and change that lyric. That's all I could think of at the time, and it's fits the song, but it's not the most poetic of all phrases.

It's the only recording to date that I played mandolin on. I also played my 12-string, which both were new to me at the time.

Note: I did not play the piano part.
Showing and Hiding [words & music: Troy Thibodeaux]
This song is also a result of the songwriting game. The main riff is a midi sequence using a guitar patch. I thought it sounded kinda cool, but would definitly play the part on guitar if I re-record the song.
Noise of the World [words & music: Troy Thibodeaux]
I was reading something about someone and how they had to try hard to block out the noise of the world to be able to create. I totally can relate to that, but sometimes that noise is inspiration.
